Which size is the most suitable for you?

Because the commencement of this business pre-dates the use of metric measurements, the sizes relate to how many feet across the umbrellas are.

SIZE 7

The smallest, square umbrella, weighing just 10kgs and approximately 2 metres by 2 metres, is ideal for use on small balconies and for cafes. It is easy to manage and carry, and has a pole diameter of 38mm, which will fit through the hole drilled in most garden tables.

SIZE 9

An octagonal umbrella for use either in or beside a dining height table, this umbrella will easily clear wine glasses on top of the table when opening or closing. The pole diameter is 64mm, the shade area approximately 2.7 metres across and it weighs 19kg.

SIZE 10

The largest square shape umbrella is ideal for unrestricted spaces and where several umbrellas are to be used together to create a long area of shade, like a large verandah or deck. This size is unsuitable for use in a table as the arms will not close down over table height. It can be used beside a table, but will need to be moved away to either open or close the umbrella. Weighs 20kg and covers an area approximately 3 metres x 3 metres. Pole diameter 64mm.

SIZE 12

The most versatile octagonal umbrella, this size shades an area approximately 3.6 metres across. It can also be used either in or directly next to a table and clears dining table height when either opening or closing the umbrella. Fast becoming the most popular size in the range it is the one we see least for repairs (probably because it is easier to put up and down because of the fact it clears table height) has a pole diameter of 64mm and weighs 21 kgs.

SIZE 14

The largest umbrella in the range, also octagonal in shape this one shades an area approximately 4.3 metres across. It is not suitable for use in a table because the arms will not close down over table height. It can be used beside a table, but will need to be moved away to either open or close the umbrella. This size is best used in large unrestricted spaces with only banana lounge height furniture. Weighs 22kgs with a pole diameter of 64mm.
